4/25: Went to Chili's (love Chili's) and then saw a high school rendition of Shrek the Musical because a bunch of my mom's former students were in it. WOW! They did great. I don't know exactly how casting for a high school play works but they selected every single person perfectly. The person who played Donkey had the personality to a tea. After the play, it was roughly 10:45pm and we find out that there is an accident near the bridge we need to go on to get home. We are pretty close to the bridge so we decide to go on. Maybe the wrong choice. It closed on both sides and cars around started doing 3 point turns on the bridge and leaving. (no idea where they were going, its the only way to cross the river for 30 minutes north or south) A while later, tow trucks with banged up cars on them are going in both directions, and eventually we get through. It was bad enough that we were on the bridge for 40 minutes and EVERYTHING was cleared before they let traffic move. crazy. Goodbye blog. I love you

4/23: Work, no gym :(, home. The leg extension machine is broken so it’s not even worth it to go. (Yes I’m using this as an excuse to skip leg day) Goodbye blog. I love you.

4/21 & 4/22: Work, gym, home. Goodbye blog. I love you

4/20: Not very eventful. I drove back home in the morning. This is a message for Sam: those left over fries in the air fryer with chick fil a sauce were fantastic. I took a 2 hour nap to make up for the lack of sleep over the weekend. Goodbye blog. I love you.

4/19: Less jam packed than yesterday but still busy. Started off the morning with a trip to dunkies (the far away one because I like it better) and then had my first pep board meeting. I’ve crashed my fair few, but it’s cool to actually be a part, even if I did spend most of it looking through the drive. I then went on a side quest with Sam, Mike and Connor to Walmart where this photo was taken. Then to a trading card shop in downtown to get what we didn’t find at Walmart, which was a pack of magic cards for Sam’s gift to Aidan. There’s an unboxing video somewhere. The last stop was Manory’s for lunch. Nothing significant happened until formal. Everyone looked fantastic (as always but especially at formal) While a little nervous, I did better at the public speaking, reading the hall of fame. I am so glad that Connor got the “PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE” answer. He did that wayyyyyy better than I would have. The gifts were cool, I need to start plotting now, or more realistically in the beginning of the fall when I am around Matt regularly. A little after that, me Jack and Wesley went to Kristina’s room to play cards against humanity. The last round, I’m not even exaggerating, was the best round of cards against humanity I have ever played. Each player put down two cards and it was 8 for 8 hilarious answers. I will not share them here because they are not appropriate, but they are in game-text or ask me for the photo if you want to see. Also, Mike gave me the pep insta password!!! Goodbye blog. love you.

4/18: What a day! To really set the stage, we need to go back to yesterday, where myself, Liam and Wesley were yapping in White 1 3001 until 2 in the morning and after bringing people home and getting ready for bed, I ended up going to sleep a little after 3. Alarm goes off at SIX-FREAKING-THRITY and I go back to sleep until the backup alarm at 6:45. This is because I needed to be at J building at 7:15 to go to the little league parade with the pep band. Parade went about as expected. Some highlights: I saw at least 2 small children who looked like they were about to cry because of our volume. My fellow trombones and I hit a fantastic “Hey Brother” intro. The trumpets had a nasty (positive) section in one song but I forgot what it was. There was an appearance from the chick fil a mascot!! and at the end, the mascot handler gave Aidan a stack of cards for free sandwiches, which would be cool however, they ALL expired in March and are for a specific location. If any of them get used, I would be surprised. It’s 20 minutes away for a free sandwich that might not be accepted. Not worth the risk imo. Now, it’s 9:30 we’re back at J. Elections is in 30 minutes. Like anyone who is nervous about public speaking I do floor time!!! With encouragement from Mike, (goated pep talker btw, was genuinely the reason I finished that pizza) I tried and was mildly successful at hitting this pose. Speech went okay, only had 1 moment that I’ll look back on and cringe horribly but that’s okay. We ran out of time before I got to my heartfelt outro. I’ll get better at public speaking over time. Election was unopposed so as of today, I am an outreach manager for the band!!! (w) This is getting rambly so I’ll go quickly through the less important details. RMA concert was good. I miss being in studio and symphonic. 8th street had some sexy trombone playing in the second song. Then a brief White 1 3001 visit until the second main event. The living tombstone. OH MY GOD. I went because I thought it would be funny, but it was genuinely so good. It was during the opener, Boy Jr. where I truly understood the meaning of “To be cringe, is to be free” because I was yelling “Anxious attachment avoidant attachment anxious attachment avoidant attachment anxious attachment avoidant attachment F**K… everything sucks” and having a blast. Also during the opener, the pep band crew stars doing the Macarena, as we do, and the singer CALLS US OUT ON IT! It was so insane. Now the opener is over, they were fine, I still have no idea what to expect from tlt. They come out in these glowing colorful outfits and that was when I know this was gonna be good. Highlights: me and Evan had fun pretending to like Freddy Fazbear. (I have never played fnaf) “YOU SHOULD HAVE PICKED MERCYYYYYYY” That song made middle school me so happy. There was a song where everyone had their phone flashlights out and it was super cool to look back. After that, me, Liam and Trevor got Taco Bell. An aside, for all of Friday and Saturday, Miranda was asking me repeatedly about going to Taco Bell but she said no when the time came. I’m not offended by that, it was super late and I’m only mentioning this to set up a stupid joke. She was all talk, no -o bell. (Sorry for stealing your joke Liam) Goodbye blog. I love you.
